Hi everybody. I am really excited to have this blog up and running. Thanks to Chuck for setting it up. I know we are all very busy and don't have time to share news and ideas very often. I thought if we had a forum such as this it would help us keep up with everyone and what's going on in our lives. I also know we have a very diverse membership at church with many different interests. This would help us to share interesting news and discoveries.
ReplyDeleteIf you come across a news article, hear a new speaker or read a book that you would like to share, please post it. Even if you hated or disagreed with it. Many of us love reading but don't have time to stand in the bookstore for hours on end reading book introductions to see if we are interested. Please share with us. Thanks for checking in.
God bless,
Pam
Thank you for this blog site
ReplyDeleteWow guys. Wasn't lunch great yesterday? Vegan really doesn't mean sparce!
ReplyDeleteNext week we will have our church kitchen "shower" so don't forget to bring your goodies. And I'll bring the cake!
I'm going to try on the music director's hat and see how it fits so everyone please keep me in your prayers.
I have just finished a great book on disease and why it even exists. " Survival of the Sickest" by Sharon Moalem explains the very latest battles regarding genes versus environment. It is fascinating. The way you use/abuse your body can effect genetic make up and even dna for several generations at least. Why did diseases like diabetes and hemochromatosis develop in the first place? Why do some diseases only hit specific demographics? If you have a Kindle, sample it. You'll be hooked.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with you? Let us know!
Blessings,
Pamela
